Special Citizens Futures Unlimited, Inc. (SCFU) is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Medicaid Billing and Admissions Coordinator to join our Accounting Department. This vital role will be instrumental in managing benefits and entitlements for the individuals we support, ensuring they receive the necessary services and support they deserve.

Responsibilities:

• Medicaid billing experience necessary. Knowledge with processing paperwork. 
• Manage Medicaid applications and recertifications, tracking all Medicaid cases for individuals we support.
• Resolve issues affecting eligibility and payment of services.
• Experience processing and reviewing Medicaid/Medicare, Social Security Disability, and SNAP benefits.
• Conduct periodic disability reviews and representative payee reports.
• Oversee the admissions process, including tracking and managing required documents for new admissions.
• Participate in community outreach activities to promote SCFU's mission and programs.
• Collaborate with program managers for a person-centered approach during the admission process.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field OR 5 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience processing Medicaid.
• Completion of CORE training and willingness to continue professional development.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Excel.
• Valid NYS driver's license and successful completion of background checks.
• Must be able to submit a PPD test by the time of hire.
