Salary: $120,000-$125,000 annually

Special Citizens Futures Unlimited is committed to providing the best quality of care to adults and children with autism. The Director of Nursing Services will be supervising the nursing staff in providing nursing services throughout the agency. 

The ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced Registered Nurse in an OPWDD residential setting with supervisory experience. This is a full time 40 hours a week in-person position. 

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee nursing staff, ensuring provision of individualized care and support plans.
• Manage RNs, contract, and paraprofessional staff, maintaining adequate staffing levels.
• Conduct AMAP training oversight and provide mandatory and as-needed in-service training.
• Develop and maintain electronic clinical records, nursing care plans, and advanced directives.
• Serve as a liaison with community partners, coordinate health programs, and ensure compliance with legal requirements and regulations.
• Participate in interdisciplinary formulation of individual behavior plans and provide clinical expertise in specialized treatments and therapies.
• Coordinate pharmacy and therapeutic activities and assist with orientation of new personnel.
• Ensure staff compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and standards.

Qualifications:

• Degree in psychiatric or mental health nursing or related field with at least three years of managerial experience in healthcare, or bachelor's/associate degree with documented psychiatric nursing education and five years of relevant experience.
• Valid NYS nursing license, CPR, and FA certification.
• Unrestricted driver's license within Agency standards.
• Ability to travel frequently between locations.
• Successful completion of criminal background history and fingerprint examination.
